Wai & ʻĀina Cappucino Cup

Sale price$70.00

Rooted in landscape, shaped by hand. The Wai & ʻĀina cappuccino mugs are an homage to the elemental beauty of Hawai‘i—wai (water) and ‘āina (land). Carved with abstract mountain forms and glazed in hues that echo where the ocean meets a sun-warmed shore, these mugs hold more than just your morning ritual—they hold a sense of place. The glossy oatmeal-rust handle feels like driftwood smoothed by the sea, grounding the piece in both texture and warmth. Made for those who appreciate the story behind the object, this set invites you to sip slowly, with reverence for the land and water that shape us.

What is Stoneware?

Stoneware pottery is fired at high temperatures to make it strong, hard, and resistant to liquids (non-porous). It is made from clay, but it is more durable than other kinds of pottery and earthenware. The reason it is called "stoneware" is because of its stone-like qualities, so you can expect something that is rugged, durable, and exudes natural feeling.

Care instructions

While stoneware and the glaze I use is 100% food-safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher friendly, to retain the beautiful colors, I do recommend hand washing and not using them in microwaves. Although stoneware is tough, it could still chip if it is bashed so please handle your pots with care.
