Gajah Mug - Medium

Sale price$85.00

These mugs are a joyful celebration of the wild — with sculpted elephant heads and trunks forming the handle, and large leafy ears wrapping the body like jungle canopies. The glossy green glaze evokes dense forest foliage, while the speckled stoneware trunks curve gracefully into a grounded base.

Comfortable to hold, easy to sip from, and impossible to ignore, each mug is hand-built with care and character. Whether for morning coffee, herbal tea, or as a conversation-starting gift, it’s a little piece of the animal kingdom brought into everyday ritual.

Made on Kaua‘i, where creatures and clay come alive in playful harmony.

What is Stoneware?

Stoneware pottery is fired at high temperatures to make it strong, hard, and resistant to liquids (non-porous). It is made from clay, but it is more durable than other kinds of pottery and earthenware. The reason it is called "stoneware" is because of its stone-like qualities, so you can expect something that is rugged, durable, and exudes natural feeling.

Care instructions

While stoneware and the glaze I use is 100% food-safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher friendly, to retain the beautiful colors, I do recommend hand washing and not using them in microwaves. Although stoneware is tough, it could still chip if it is bashed so please handle your pots with care.
